What is Metabolic Typing

Metabolic Typing is a customized nutrition plan based on the research of William Wolcott. It helps each person know the types of protein, carbohydrate and fat he or she should be eating as well as the ratios of protein, to carbohydrate to fat. This diet dispels the myth that we should all be eating the same diet.

Using psychological, physical and dietary-related traits as an insight into our dietary needs, the online metabolic typing test is currently the best way to determine exactly which foods one should be eating and if one is a Protein Type, a Carbo Type or a Mixed Type. We each have different genetic metabolic needs. Eating according to the metabolic typing plan will bring you back into balance so that you burn nutrients in a way that will support fat burning and lean tissue building.

Ever wonder why some people swear by Atkins, some say it made them fat and unhealthy and some say they had no results whatsoever on it. Protein types tend to do very well on the Atkins Diet and lose weight and experience great overall health. Carbo types do miserably on Atkins (they do much better on a diet like the Pritikin Diet).
